Tai Chi Chuan is considered the treasure of Chinese Kung Fu and was created by was created by Wu Chian-Chuan (1870-1942). It is the most sophisticated of all martial arts even though it looks very simple. It is a very high form of self-defense where physical strength is of no importance. It utilizes the principles of "yin and yang" or "yield and attack" as its mainstay. It is performed slowly at first, to develop the foundations of rooting, concentration, relaxation, balance, coordination and chi. Regular practice of Tai Chi Chuan is relaxing and challenging. The student will grow mentally and physically by connecting their mind and body. This form of moving meditation is one of the oldest forms of exercise known. Hundreds of years have proven it's effectiveness.
